Things you might be wondering.

Find out how rentals and exchanges work, what support is included, and how to get started.

Who is Hive & Wonder for?
We create spaces for families with toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary children, as well as homeschool families and preschools. We consider the children’s abilities and interests along with the setting.
Do we buy the learning materials?
Materials are rented through ongoing membership. You use the curated selection, then return it when we refresh the space. Setup and membership are separate parts of the service.
How often are the materials changed?
Materials are exchanged every 6–8 weeks. We use what we learn about developing skills and interests to choose the next selection and introduce fresh opportunities to explore.
What happens to returned materials?
Returned materials are collected, checked, cleaned, and prepared for reuse. Detailed material-care and cleaning information will be shared before membership begins.
Will you show us how to use the materials?
Yes. We introduce the materials to adults and children, demonstrate ways to use them, and give practical guidance for encouraging playful, independent learning.
Do we need a whole room?
No. A learning corner, a few activity stations, or a shared room can be a useful starting point. We plan around your available space and the children who will use it.
Do we have to follow Montessori?
No. Montessori, Reggio Emilia, play-based learning, and other early childhood approaches inform our choices. We adapt the environment to each child and family rather than requiring one philosophy.
What is included in the setup?
The initial service covers family consultation, learning-environment planning, selection and preparation of materials, installation, organization, and an orientation. The scope is discussed for your setting.
What is included in membership?
Monthly membership provides rented educational materials, planned exchanges, and continuing support. Material quantities and specific support inclusions depend on the package; those details will be confirmed during consultation.
Can we get additional coaching?
Additional parent education, one-on-one instruction, home consultations, and changes to the learning environment can be discussed separately from the membership inclusions.
How do we choose a membership?
We’ll discuss the material quantities, support, pricing, and membership terms before you agree to a service. The website does not collect payments.
Where do you work?
Tell us your city or general area when consultation requests open, and we’ll confirm availability for your setting.
